I have colour changer, purity, fixer, alter and extra links for Facebook.. When I turn off Alter of Purity, I don't have a problem any more. What is the problem ? Firefox slows down using 100% of processor power and everything stops in Firefox. For whole 5-6 seconds. It might just be Facebook error or something they changed, but I've had problems for 2 whole days and today when I turned Alter off, it was ok, but then I turned Purity off also (with Alter back on) and it was ok. What do you think of it ? fight between scripts or something else ?? |

with the introduction of whitelist checking, the script is more processor intensive. if the alter script is processor intensive too, then i guess it will lead to a bottleneck with both scripts fighting over the processor resources |

whitelist checking ? can you, please, join discussion on the alter's discussion board ? and on fixer's too ? there are a lot of people having this problem and you seem like you could know something more about scripts then users :-))) |

Steeev I am experiencing the same problems. I run only FB Purity and Mafia Wars Autoplayer script. I am using them for quite some time but with the last update of FB Purity, my Firefox freezes very often, sometimes it is not responding and I thought that there is a problem with the browser itself(that week I also downloaded Firefox 3.5.3). When I read about dubrovnik4 problems I tried disabling FB Purity and things were better but I cant stand those stupid quizzes so I am asking you if you could modify this version so it wont have whitelist option ??? Or maybe you can tell us which lines to delete from the code so it will work perfect again :)) thanks |

i have a sneaking suspcicion, the slowdown might be caused by facebook constantly updating the "x minutes ago" timestamp below each post every minute. i think this must have been a relatively recent change to the site as i have not noticed it before, it might be affecting the script, as it listens for any newly inserted content on the page and runs the blocking function on anything it finds. hmmm must investigate further |

That might be the problem. I have tried the previous version and it worked great at first but now things are messy again. Later I tried disabling greasemonkey but no luck. The same second I close the Facebook tab, it is like my computer gets a nitrous boost and goes 1000 times faster. So it is something with Facebook I guess. :/ |

I love this script too, but for whatever reason, it's made the Facebook page, and my whole browser, unusable when the page is open. I've switched to the lite page for now. |

I am experiencing the same problems as the others. Whenever I have Facebook open in a tab my browser will freeze for about 3-4 seconds every so often. When Facebook is closed I have no issue. |

i am getting the slow down and freezing too, and as im on a slow computer anyway, it makes it pretty damn hard to debug the problem unfortunately... :( one positive thing that has come out of it is, its helping me get cut back on my facebook usage... as a previous poster mentioned though, facebook have recently followed the lead taken by "facebook purity" and created a stripped down version fo the site without the crappy applications here: http://lite.facebook.com/ its an interesting coincidence that they have virtually disabled the fb purity script at the same time they launched that site, maybe they dont like people using gm scripts on their site... |

i've got a feeling only really old pcs will be affected, just a guess though. have tried optimising the code further, but didnt have much luck so far. |

Well I am running on a core2duo 2.0ghz with 3gb ram. It is fast and can run pretty much every game there is out there with no problems but it freezes on FB :/ grrr btw I am using the previous version (you gave me the link in a previous post) and things are good now. I installed it on 20 sept and it was running good. On sept 21st I had problems but from then everything is good. cheers |

So it turns out for me that when I disable purity I still have the issue. When I disable fixer the problem goes away. So I will try to find out why fixer is causing this issue for me all of a sudden. |

guys with the slow down problem, please try the new version. ive optimised the code a bit, so it should run much faster now. btw before updating, if you have edited the whitelist, make a copy of the list of your whitelist IDs, and paste your list into the new script. |
