Hi,

first of all thanks a lot for this script - it's exactly what I've been looking for.

However, I don't know how to use this? Do I include the site where I want to change background colour? And then what happens next?

Thanks a lot!

Right click your little greasemonkey-head icon in the bottom right of your browser, then select User Script Commands, Set Background Color.

Type in the name of the color you desire:
Red, Orange, Blue, Grey, DarkGreen, Pink, LightGrey, Teal, Black, etc...

or type the hexadecimal code in for an exact shade. examples:
#FF0000 is red
#000000 is white
#8B3CB0 is purple

Make sure you have the # sign in there or it won't work.

You can find your own by playing with the color box and hue slider on the top of this page
http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors...

When you find the color you want, just copy the Hex code it gives you.

Some colors work better than others, especially for reading text or links.
If a site doesn't look right, change the color again, or disable the script for a bit.

There's a couple ways to do this. Right click the monkey, and uncheck Background Color Changer. Re-checkmark this later on to enable the color changer again.

Another way is to just click the monkey icon so he's greyed out, then reload the page. This disables Greasemonkey entirely. Click him again to re-enable, or else your scripts will no longer work. This is probably not the best way to go about it, but it's quick. It may throw you off if you have other scripts installed that no longer run as expected, so I'd really recommend doing it the other way.

If you have a site you visit often that you'd prefer didn't change color, just add an exception for that one.

Simply right click your monkey head, Manage User Scripts. Make sure on the left side you select Background Color Changer. Then right next to the bottom right box where it says Excluded Pages is a button marked Add...
Press this, then tap OK, and you're good to go.
