suddenly, this script is causing a window to appear asking for a user/pass for Twitter API. wasnt happening yesterday, so not sure what changed. |

Nothing in Better Twitter's changed... I'll look around at if anything's changed with the API. |

ya, i was thinking twitter possibly changed something. i tested this script on its own and it definitely brings up an API login prompt everytime. didnt used to. |

According to the changelog (http://apiwiki.twitter.com/REST+API+Changelog) "statuses/friends, statuses/followers, friends/ids, and followers/ids for protected users require proper authentication". So, if you're following anyone who has a protected profile, you will be prompted to login to Twitter API. I follow a few people who are protected, and I'd assume you do as well. I'll work on a fix to this (if there is one) soon. |

i see. im unsure if i follow anyone protected, but i know im protected..ill test turning it off when im able.. EDIT: when i unprotect myself, it doesnt happen anymore. but id like to be able to remain protected also: Better twitter's update feature still says there are updates available even after an update. |

Alright, so I think it's safe to say that if there's anyone you're following, or if you are, protected then there's an issue... Like I said, I've seen it too, and only recently. I haven't had any luck finding a fix yet, but I'll ask around. And regarding updates, try uninstalling, and then downloading/installing again. Userscripts.org measures the script size different from OS X apparently, or I just mistyped (twice in a row)?). Sorry. |

reinstalling fixed the updates issue. hopefully youll be able to find a fix to the API problem soon. if it comes down to it, you could make a toggle to allow the user to select an option to just hide/cancel the API login before it even appears. thanks |

I am facing the same problem.. the username password window pops up every time. Other than that, your script is great! I'm loving it :) |

It doesn't seem to do this anymore, I guess Twitter fixed whatever it was? |

Looks like it. Let me know if you see it again. |
