sort by release date?

Maarten, I get such utility out of this script. Thanks very much for your efforts. I am a fan of old movies and would love to be able to sort by release date. Is this possible? Thanks very much. |

Hi drmilsurp, Thanks for the kind words! Netflix only seems to show the year in which a movie was released (rather than the full date). Sorting by year has been on my TODO list for a while, but it's always good to let me know you need it so I can bump up priority for that fix. One drawback is that the year is only available when the movie description comes up after hovering the mouse over the title, or after clicking through to the movie's details page. That means sort-by-year will be slow; as slow as sort-by-length is today. But, it's better than sorting by hand! I hope to have time to add it soon. Maarten |

I second what drmilsurp said, great script, but sort by date would be great IMHO. I'd like to have things sorted by year first then by rating (which I guess I'd run the script in opposite order to do, but whatever). Great script, will love to see sort by release date at some point! |

Still haven't gotten around to it. :( But, am working on version 2.0 of the script which will make it much easier for me to add things like this. Unfortunately, I cannot give you an estimate of when I'll have the new version completed, as it is being developed strictly on an "as I have time" basis. |
