I'd love to see some Before and After screen shots of how this works on this page? Can anyone make some samples to display how this works? Much appreciated! Thanks!

Here you go:

http://bit.ly/fbPurityHiding
This image shows my facebook news feed with Facebook Purity userscript enabled and hiding blocked apps (notice the counter in the top right). Ahh.. nice and clean

http://bit.ly/fbPurityShowing
This image shows my facebook news feed with Facebook Purity userscript enabled but showing blocked apps (highlighted by the script in red dotted border). Agh.. messy and horrible

It should be noted that I have a number of other scripts running that change the look/layout of the newsfeed - Purity does not change the look/layout, only removes unwanted app posts.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I have seen your screenshots and I really like the way your Fb pages look, so I'd like to ask what scripts you are using (other than FacebookPurity)..
Thanks!

No probs steeev - thanks for a top script and for the rapid updates, much appreciated.

Sure thing, I'm using:

Facebook Purity
obviously

A modified version of
Super Secret Script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/24266)
to change text within the page - see my top navigation bar for examples

LongURL Mobile Expander (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/32115)
to expand shortened URLs in a tooltip (I like to see where i'm going)

Facebook Fixer (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/8861)
to do a whole load of things including remove the left bar, enhance photo albums etc. Comes with an array of user script commands allowing you to use it just how you like

Facebook | Events at top (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/46719)
to move my events up to the top of the page

In addition to these I use Mozilla Add-ons
Adblock Plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/...)
along with
Adblock Plus : Element Hiding Helper (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/...)
to allow me to block specific modules within the newsfeed (such as the 'Sponsored', 'Suggestions' and 'Connect with friends' sections)
Although you can achieve virtually the same effect using
Facebook CSS Fixer (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/44239)
but I prefer using Adblock since I already use it and had configured it before I found CSS fixer.

Hope this helps,
Dan
