"View previous thread" Bug
![]() ![]() |
In private threads (Inbox) that are branched (not truncated) for being too long, clicking "view previous thread" causes an unresponsive script error. The dialog is this: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete." with the options "stop script" and "continue." In my experience, on Windows Vista, pressing either of these buttons makes the dialog disappear for a while and then it pops up right away, forcing me to kill Firefox from the task manager. Threads only get branched after about 1,000 messages so this is probably not urgent... |

Hi mrmojorisingi, the only workaround I can offer right now is that if you press L (shift + l) you can disable the script from listening for changes. This stops some of the features from working but not all, and it will prevent the script from hanging your browser. You can press it again to re-enable it, or just go to a new tab. (If you disable the keyboard shortcuts feature this won't work) Its fairly unlikely that I will be able to address this specific hang is it required about 1000 messages, but hopefully I'll get a fix that works in all situations. |
