Ever since RB came out with the Classified ads, Personal ads fell by the wayside. Classified ads feature thumbnails that allow users to visually recognize who is in the ad... or to quickly identify a new look.

I got really excited when I saw this script because it offered the opportunity to revitalize personal ads. Since there are no limits on the number of pictures posted in a personal ad, the screen quickly fills with an overwhelming number of large images that lose all continuity with a list of ads.

Two changes would transform this from a "Good idea that doesn't work" into a kick-ass script:

1. Reduce all pics down to thumnails following the CL preview model. We can always click on the ad to get full-size pictures.

2. Similarly display thumbnails for pics in the FIRST post on other forums like E411, NW & the geographical forums. I say just the first post because some threads repeat the same picture(s) multiple times, and it would fill the page with too many pics if the script displayed all the pictures in every thread on a page. Oh yeah, I'd ignore polls because a poll thumbnail is damn-near impossible to read anyway.

Thanks for putting your creative energies to use, though! This really has potential with a few changes.
