Hi,

thanks for this script that works like a charm for almost all the web. But after testing it many ways, i discovered that it causes google reader some very annoying troubles. When activated on this page it causes Firefox iddling, freezing and even sometimes crashing on folder with many items.
So i disabled it for both http://www.google.com/reader/* and https://www.google.com/reader/* but you should take a look at this. I didn't test it with firebug...

best Regards

Sylvain

Yep I know that. Even with with the latest stable Firefox 3.5.2, websites with a lot of ajax items are really slow, firefox hang up.
It seems Mozilla team corrected/optimize some DOM related functions in Firefox 3.6 alpha, I'll try it at home.

It might also be a GreaseMonkey related problem. This is low stuff. For instance I also detect that sometimes firefox won't reflect .innerHTML modifications, as explained in the changelog :-(
At this point I need technical help. To anyone who could take a look at the code : any advice would be appreciate.
The code is pretty clear, commented and architectured.

However, there is no such problem under Opera... My Google Reader works perfectly with Opera & my userscript, and I use it a LOT. I would be the first one angry if this couldn't work with GReader.

For now, 2 workarounds :

  • Try Opera ^^
  • Exclude the website like you did. However I didn't recommend such a thing because shortened urls who come up in your Google Reader streams won't be parsed : BAD
