How to enlarge photos?

I came across this website because I've been searching for a way to view facebook photos at their original size. I installed Greasemonkey and Facebook Fixer which claims to make photos "bigger" but so far the only thing it seems to do is enlarge thumbnails to a slightly bigger size, which is useful but not what I was looking for.

Can Facebook Fixer show photos at their original resolution (i.e. bigger than 600 pixels wide)? If not, can this be done? Does anyone know how to do this?

Facebook Fixer shows larger versions of images in 2 categories: profile pictures and regular photos.

Because of the way Facebook organizes their images the URL for full-size versions of profile pictures cannot be determined from the URL of the thumbnail. Because of this Facebook Fixer shows an image only about 2 times bigger than the thumbnail when you put the mouse over a thumbnail of a profile picture.

However if you put your mouse over a regular photo you should see the full-sized image popup (around 600px max).

If you are trying to get the actual uploaded image, like the size of the picture directly from a camera (thousands of pixels wide), then Facebook Fixer cannot do this. There is no way that I know of to achieve this, and I'm pretty sure that Facebook would have coded their site in such a way that retrieving that original picture would be impossible.

Thanks for the answer Vaughan.

Facebook Fixer doesn't do what I downloaded it for, but now I have it I am really liking what it does do and I have no intention of uninstalling it. I'm finding it really useful to just mouseover small photos and see them bigger.

Many thanks! :D
