g.Chrome & Opera compatible!
![]() ![]() |
Great news with today's release of v2.5.1! Both Google Chrome and Opera browser are compatible with this script in restylizing Google service pages with a black theme. Unlike Firefox, rounded corners are currently not support, and certain limitations apply to the auto-update checking functionality as Opera does not support the 'unsafeWindow' is a Greasemonkey object. (Additionally, at the time of writing this thread, Chrome did have function-support for GM_getValue & GM_setValue but not yet variable-data storage capability; that functionality is therefore checked and when available in a future Chrome-release, it will then automatically function properly.)For help making either browser use this script, check out these very helpful blog-posts: Help for Google Chrome Help for OperaTo download either of these fine alternatives to Firefox (*preferred), please visit these links: > Download Google Chrome - Try the latest BETA version! > Download Opera brower If you happen to notice something broken or have an idea, just let me know

(: Hey everyone I wanted to let you all know I am and have been working hard on all your suggestions and all the little fixes to bring everything back to 'normal.' I've been wrestling with a cross browser compatibility issue and want to make sure all our friends on all browsers get the best experience possible. Great stuff coming for Opera like rounded-support and better functionality, the same for Chrome with even greater support. The goal is to have all browsers working similarly with even greater support for more users and features. We are almost there... Best regards,
|

Good news to report. I've been doing a lot of work to ensure real cross browser functionality of as many features as possible. I'm happy to report "Great Success" and hope to have the new, best release yet, out to you all very soon =) Dapxin, I will certainly look into that for you before the upcoming release ;) |

(: Tons of new support on Chrome and Opera in the v3.0.0 update! They're not quite perfect as I would like, but the features and functionality are coming along quite nicely. Chrome got native rounded-corners support and also native gradient support (a first on any platform for this script ~ we'll have this for FF&O soon.) I hope to add the Configuration panel to Chrome and Opera shortly, so stay tuned for good things to come... |

It would appear broken in Opera 10.64. See a comparison of what the default install of the script in both Opera and FF.

Is there an update please ? |
![]() ![]() |
Don't change that Firefox = the best for scripts and addons |

Daxpin, I have just finished v3.2.3 which is a minor-planned release addressing layout bugs, etcetera. My next planned release is a major code-jump (incrementing to 3.3.X) which is planned to include Chrome and Opera support improvements. I do appreciate your patience in this. I know it needs a bit of work at the moment but please just know that the fixes are coming up in the pipeline and we'll have better functionality shortly. BTW: thanks again for your links above! :) |

Not yet my friend, but I am certainly working on improved compatibility with Opera and Chrome. The next release (3.3.X) will improve a lot of the functionality. I do sincerely hope to release the next update soon ;) |

Dear [PATIENT] users of Chrom(e|ium) and Opera, As of the current version [3.2.7], I am aware of a number of (what I would call) major issues regarding both the visual output and the functionality of key script features (or to be clear, the lack there-of.) A lot works and a lot does not. However, the long-term release road map has pointed to major improvements in all aspects in the bump to the 3.3[.X] platform. Many key functions are being rewritten and I hope to resolve a lot of issues for all of you. Please stay tuned and vigilant in your efforts here to help me help you.
