I have run into version differences before and corrected them with some clever CSS, so I'm actually confident that I can do something about this. I'll try to get a fix for you asap, and thank you btw for the kind words. |

hey man, thank you very much with your quick repsonse and fix. but there is a small problem. your script now works flawlessly in FF 3.0.12 for the www.google.com domain, but the problem reappears for the www.google.gr domain.
if you can have a look at this and see what causes it.for now i will use the www.google.com instead of www.google.gr untill you discover the problem. ;) anyway, thanks again for your excellent script and your quick fix. cheers. |

ominus, I think Google may have rolled-out their homepage updates across the board now, because I can't seem to reproduce this anymore. I tried testing this again in 3.0.12 and the newer 3.0.13 (and of course 3.5.2) with all the G-domains you listed plus a few more I could think of. I think it's fixed now, but if you still have a problem then please let me know.

well it seems that our celebration didnt last very much.the problem appeared again since yesterday, and its even worse than the first time.this time the google logo appears twice in the middle of the search bar in the www.google.gr domain (And in others domains too).the www.google.com domain works perfectly.

if i am not mistaken you updated your script yesterday.maybe something broke then?

I don't think anything necessarily was broken, it's just that Google has a lot of development teams, each working on their specific locality, and of course there are a lot of international domains and services working on each (which each sometimes needs customizations for their specific needs.) That's the fun of this task---tackling the giant (which I do so fearlessly.) There's always something changing here and there (as is the nature of the Internet), so having helpful people like you to inform me is absolutely appreciated so I can make the most of this effort and make as many people happy as possible. I am working on an update to address a few things, and I will certainly test the gamete of international sites to make sure this is fixed for you as soon as possible! |

Ok, once again [I believe] I've fixed the International g.Logo problem [for now ~ haha] I tested all the international TDLs listed in this thread, plus a bunch more. I tested them all in FF 3.5.2, 3.0.0.13 and 2.0.0.20 and to be thorough Chrome & Opera I seem to have resolved the latest homepage-LOGO changes, but if anything else slides-out-of-place, just let me know my-friend ![]() btw: thanks again for all your help |
![]() ![]() |
Yeah it works now perfectly.thanks again for providing such a great support in this excellent script.
