Question about Drop-Down boxes

I love PSM but seem to have started having trouble with scrolling in drop-down boxes since I installed it. When filling in a form, if the entire list of choices fits in the window, I have no problem selecting an item. However, if the list is too long for the window (like the list of available languages at Wikipedia's home page, for instance), when I click on the "thumb" or top of the scroll bar, the list box closes right up again. When I click on the box a SECOND time, it behaves normally and I'm able to scroll down and make my pick. I'm only blaming PSM because when the boxes DO work correctly on the second try, there's a pink Page Scroll Marker hilighting the list as I go down. (It's NOT there on the first try, nor on no-scroll boxes.) Am I the only one experiencing this and is it actually Page Scroll Marker?
