image viewer

I really like GoogleGallery - I have been waiting for something like this for a while. One issue I have is that its image pop-up viewer seems to always supersede Greased Lightbox, which I find to be more flexible for that specific task. GL includes next and previous arrows, slideshow, image resizing, as well as a link to the image's original page under the popped-out picture. Is there there a way to implement this kind of functionality in GG that I just haven't seen, or is there a way to disable the GG image pop-up function specifically, allowing GL to work. I have an unfortunately limited knowledge of programming, and therefore cannot do much about it myself besides whine like a baby. Seriously, though, everything else about GG rules. Thanks |

If you popup an image the arrow keys on the keyboard move between images (with preloading), and esc exits, and enter opens the image page in a new tab. You can also ctrl-click on images to open the page url in a new tab. Sorry those weren't documented. As for disabling the popup functionality all together, you can edit the source code, but I doubt Greased Lightbox would work since GG creates it's own markup for the thumbnails. |
