Hey, i just installed facebook video add on. Its great. I can now download facebook videos but the embed video button isnt working. You think facebook did that? If you can id really like some help here.

Same problem for me. Did'nt look too deep into it, but the script is calling http://www.facebook.com/ajax/video/embed.php which does not exist anymore.

Edit: Seems I was wrong. The URL still exists (Facebook itself uses it). I guess if the parameters are not correct the PHP script throws a 404 error.

The embed button is working. Go to a video page and click the "Embed this video" link. A popup will appear with the embed code in it. You can't embed video in HQ anymore, because Facebook has made changes to prevent that.

I installed grease monkey and the latest - aug 21 - version of the script.
it shows as enabled in grease monkey. i do not get any pop-ups on a
video page in Facebook, or embed button. are there new problems with
Facebook?

Tools -> Error Console

yes - i fixed a misplaced comment, and that leaves
line 148 Unterminated string literal
code[swfid] = '<object width="'+width[swfid]+'">

is this missing a single quote?

another thing, while we are focusing on your excellent script (excellent,
judging by the forum's posts showing continuing overcoming of escalating
obstacles).
since i have a convenient syntax error in my current script, i can see
by clearing the err console, then going to a page, exactly when the
script is run, since my console has new info to report.
when i first go into facebook, in logging on, the script runs (no
videos on the page). when i switch to a page with videos, and also
when i go the specifically "video" tab, the script does not run. -
this might explain why previous posters had to view a video, then
click "next" ( which incidentally does not work at present).
however, once on the video page, if i go back to your forum page, clear
the errors the forum gives (most pages seem to have some kind of errors),
then jump back to video page, the script runs! (can't your script look
to see if any videos and quit if none?)

Where?

That was a really old error. It happened when Facebook first switched to Ajax.

that's what it does already. I'm not getting any of the errors you are.

is the feature on this site, send message to (script author) secure?
(as compared to yahoo and gmail, which are not)

i sent you a message - where does your reply go to?

do you happen to have an acct on facebook?
perhaps we could chat on a couple of issues

the comment that was out of place was a long line in the original
script which wrapped when i put it in an editor - i fixed that.

if i send you my email address could you reply through email?
or do you try to avoid any direct communication at all costs?

thanks for your insightful help - i reloaded the script into a more
disciplined editor (Nedit). there were several lines before which
wrapped in such a way as to introduce new and exciting line breaks
at inappropriate places. the mysterious "embed" now appears.
does the embed work with MediaConverter?
(i tried the "download", and while i was typing this, it completed -
it crashed the browser 9 tenths way thru, and i just restarted it)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I put a 19 minute video up on my group page on Facebook, and I want to embed it into my blog. I installed your ap on firefox but all I can do is download. The embed link does nothing, nor does the change code link. Any suggestions would be great.
