Hello dfeng,

Congratulations for the most clean and detailed script that removes ads from Gmail.

But there is a minor bug. The convinient links clashes with long subject lines, especially when labels are added. I suppose all this really needs is a padding between the two lines.

Take a look at this screenshot to know what I mean :

It would be great if you did that or just told us which number to modify in the script to get the padding.

Regards,
Nash

yes. i noticed this bug - but at least for me, it happens rarely enough that i didn't bother doing anything.

but i will add an option to allow for padding (hopefully its possible).

thanks

Hey Nashv,

I updated the script with the option to add padding. I personally find it not as visually pleasing with the padding, so I'm going to keep it at default "false".

It should work fine though - I can't think of any other way to get rid of this bug.

Cheers

Hi, I can't get this to remove the ad. Here's a shot...

Please help! Hoping I can make this work. The facebook script seems to work well.

@dfeng: the padding option works great! however, i think you didn't update the version number, so greasemonkey didn't update the script automatically.

@dfeng: the padding option while it fixed the title, broke the label management in the title. if you open an email with labels, you cannot remove a label from the title. it's become read-only.

Specifically these two features:

"Search for all messages with label x"
"Remove label x from this conversation"

@skim thanks for the notice. I didn't even realise that.

everything should be fine now :)

Now working perfectly! Thanks! This script is the ONLY reason I use Greasemonkey! :-)

mh, using most recent version but got still sometimes the error skim described: search by and remove label are not clickable, especially if there are a lot of these convenient links and a long subject line, e.g.:

http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=6886463nr2.png

the used language setting is german ...

apart from that little issue is this a great script !!

hi....

this works great - however it breaks the script which i use toggle the icon+search bar (with an s). but i love this enough to emable disable the seach bar script! would be nice if you could make it compatible with Gmail Searchbar toggle script. Thanks.
