The minimap is not draggable on Firefox v.3.5

Otherwise, this is one of the best scripts ever... Keep your hard work...

Given that Firefox v3.5 is still in Beta testing, I am hoping that they will fix alot of the bugs with it before release. If you come across a specific bug that you can identify in Firefox v3.5 then please report it to Mozilla.

Unfortunately, I am not going to support beta versions of software as it is just too much effort for something that will likely as not be fixed in a month or two without me doing anything. If it is still buggy on final release of Firefox 3.5 then I will fix the script but I am not going to fix it until then.

Other than that, I suggest you go back to the latest stable version of Firefox 3.0 as the script works fine there.

Nah... I can live with it until they release the final version. I was just making a note in case you were interested in fixing it.

As I said before, keep your hard work, as this is a great add-on for my Ikariam.

:-)

The script cannot be dragged still... And firefox 3.5 is not beta now. Can you please fix it?

Firefox 3.5 may have been officially released but that does not mean that it is bug free. Firefox 3.5.1 is due mid-july and this should include some fixes to the TraceMonkey engine that will hopefully fix alot of the problems.

This script is fine, the bug is somewhere in jQuery Draggable UI, Greasemonkey or in FireFox itself. I have no idea where and the error messages are unhelpful at best. Therefore while I will try to find a fix, it is not going to be (a) easy, especially if it is a bug in Greasemonkey or Firefox itself; or (b) quick.

If it is really a problem for you then uninstall Firefox 3.5 and go back to 3.0.11 where it works fine. Alternatively you can try debugging it yourself and help me find out where the error is so that I can fix it.

Am still working on this - I've found a fix for dragging the map but that fix then breaks being able to store/load data (which includes storing/loading the position of the mini-map and the location of all the alliance towns).

Not a simple proposition as the bug is in Greasemonkey's use of XPCNativeWrappers.

The latest version of FireFox is 3.5.1; not sure where you got version 5 from.

And, which other script? (If it's not a script I authored then I can't really help you much)

Hi Guys,
Using Firefox 3.5.2 now, but still in the island move - its still not movable.

Just an idea, maybe put it outside of the island view screen.

Great script by the way

I think is better to put minimap outside of the island view, then it can be moved by the people who can move it. It should be a temporary solution to the problem...

I use firefox 3.5.3, i can't move it. In some islands views i can't click on a city because the minimap is over the city...

Great script!

I "fix" this problem by this way:
Change the 685th row of ikariam_alliance_map.user.js from:
GM_addStyle( 'div#worldMap { ' + left + ': ' + pos.x + 'px; top: ' + pos.y + 'px; z-index: 3000; }\n' );
to:
GM_addStyle( 'div#worldMap { ' + left + ': -120px; top: 160px; z-index: 3000; }\n' );

Not realy fix this problem, but all cities are visible at island view.

ps
Tested on 1.1.12d version at s6.ikariam.ru
Sorry for my english ;)

Sweet...I prefer putting it on the right side though
GM_addStyle( 'div#worldMap { ' + right + ': -120px; top: 160px; z-index: 3000; }\n' );

Tested in s3.ikariam.com.

i appreciate the fixes all of you. but could you back up a little for someone who has never played with scripts? where do i find the code to cut and paste with the fixes suggested by makeme and Vinniex.

Wonderful tool, thanks very much.

Script is updated.

On the island view go to: Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands... > Reset Mini-Map Location.

This will open up a box on the left below the town info/action boxes and allow you to reset the map location.

I cant press the "User Script Commands". Its light-grey and not useable.

I looked all over for a general comments section and couldn't find it so I'll post this here. There is a script I've been using called Allies and Friends Highlighter by CactiFantastico. Today it went on the fritz for me and doesn't work properly. The script's home at Ikarian Library has not had an update or comment for over a year. My question is, can you make a similar script to go with the rest of your wonderful collection? Perhaps even improve on it by adding more colors. I use it not only for friends and allies, but also (mostly) for enemy alliances and I really miss it already. Thanks for all the great scripts!

Looks like you can drag the mini map now.

I'm using the latest 1.1.13c & using firefox 3.5.8.

Cool :)
