Very strange that it stopped working for you. I looked around a bit and couldn't find anything that would stop it from working, and even removed and reinstalled and the suggest still worked for me :S

Anyways, try this just in case and let me know if it fixes it for you:

Click on Preferences next to the search box,
Go down to Query Suggestions, click on "Provide query suggestions in the search box."
Save, and hopefully it will work again.

If not, please let me know and I'll do a little more investigation for you...

Best regards,
GD

FOLLOW-UP:

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I made an enhancement to the Search Suggest box. Now [when it does actually work] the background is a dark-grey so you can more easily see the suggested search terms.

I hope you got your Search Suggest working and that this also helps you!

[I'm always here to help! --GD]

datdirtyscrew, I saw your screenshot which I appreciate but I couldn't reproduce the bg-color like on your machine. That's ok though, I loosened up the rules just a bit and I think it may help you (fingers crossed.)

I'm really impressed by your black ff theme! I am using aerofox-blk currently, but yours is WAY cooler. I love the simplicity, especially how you have it configured; you have inspired me! Would you mind sharing the ff-theme Name and/or URI so I can try it out?

Thanks again for your help and sincerity. Best regards, GD

hey thanx for the theme info! i'll try it

Was there any luck with the search suggest being fixed in v2.1.6?

If not, would you mind reporting your ff version so I can try to better reproduce this?

Thanx!

The Google logo stopped showing up with the newest version. Also, is there a reason why iGoogle is first in the upper menu and not Web?

Also, I don't really use iGoogle, but I noticed that the text in the weather box gets cropped a little: http://i27.tinypic.com/2moc7qc.jpg

x0rnn,
I am so glad you've got an eye on the uk site. Thanks again for letting me know so quickly on the logo issue! I got that fixed, and also took a look at the header-menu links you mentioned. I think the reason I originally put 'iGoogle' first was due to the way the non-modded HTML elements are positioned, allowing me to insert new code before the menu. Well, when you mentioned those links I noticed a few things: while on iG, it didn't need a link again, so I delinked it and replaced the 'Web' link with one that goes back to the 'Classic Home' (..speaking of which, I then removed that link from the right since the left 'Web' link worked as such). I also fixed that Weather module since you pointed it out; thanx!
While I was at it, I enhanced the iGoogle Create box since that was still boxy, which it now matches the theme. Oh yeah, and the little alert box at the top of iG, fixed that up too.

Well, I hope the v2.1.9 update fixes what you needed, and I hope it makes a little more sense of the header-menu links.

Cheers

The iGoogle being first isn't really an issue, I'm just not used of seeing it there hehe. Thanks for the update.

By the way, regarding the weather module, it appears it is Google the one who fucked up:

I didn't know it was supposed to show 4 days in advance. :)

Oh, I also added font-size:11px; to the weather module, so all 4 images are in one line, and not like in the picture above.

Also the Google Translate text seems to be black: http://i28.tinypic.com/9g9awz.jpg

Good idea on the weather.mod, I'll add that!

Thanks for catching the translate text too, I have that fixed now for the next release.
(I also fixed the homepage logo and a few other things, not to mention the enhancement of g.Patents...all coming very soon...)
