Invalid security certificate

I know that this is nothing major to worry about, but when using the script in FF 3.0.11 on Twitter, I get the pop-up warning box with the following message, "67.18.166.254:443 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed. (Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)" I think that when it tries to lengthen an IP address shown on the page, (on the @guardiantech tweet) the error is produced. Their origiginal message was, "guardiantech RT @citizenlab I can confirm psiphon works in Tehran, rt: 67.18.166.254/a.php..." As you can see from the original error message that popped up the IP address also contained the port number after the address (443) where as the original message did not. Hope some of this helps? Richard P.s I'd like to say a big thank you for this script though as it's great for added security and I have made quite a few a my friends and family install it as they use Twitter/ Facebook quite a bit. |

Hi TheGift73, I am so sorry that I took long time to reply.
It might be caused by unauthorized SSL certification, and it looks very difficult to solve.

Hi setomits, Thanks for your response. No problem, I know you are busy. I haven't had the issue happen since, but then again I haven't seen any posts where people are posting IP addresses or proxy server addresses. Regards, Richard |
