I think there should be an option to enable/disable the video download link on title added by the script |

There is... "Add easy-to-use download links" near the bottom of the config list. |

I don't want it either. Hoping for some speed improvement; I tried to disable it, but the title link stays. |

I can add an option to disable it if people find it annoying (I don't understand why, though). The problem is that I can't add an option for every script detail, because then the code will be a mess and more bug-prone, and the configuration more complicated and confusing. If you want to do it because you want to improve the script performance, understand that the script's execution time is very short. Some people seems to think that the script is slow because it takes some time to detect the available formats, to change the video player to the best available quality or to display all the comments. That's not the case. That takes time because the script has to download data from YouTube servers, the script's execution time is very short, as I have said above. |
