Own and ally islands are not colored
Hi MT0! Great script that is for sure. Although I have a strange problem: On the map (and on the minimap as well) I see all islands as green. That means my own islands and my ally's are not colored. I tried with different color settings but no joy.
I am running Firefox 3.0.10 with JS fully enabled.
Thx

1) Some scripts have created a conflict with versions of this script. Make sure you have the latest version of this script. Try disabling all the other scripts you are running and see if it works by going to the embassy or ally pages. 2) If it works, then enable the scripts one-by-one visiting the embassy/ally pages after enabling each one and see if it stops working. Let me know which script is breaking mine (and where you downloaded it from) and, assuming it's a legal script, I'll try fixing it or making a work around (have already done it for two scripts). 3) If disabling all the other scripts does not work, then in the menus, click "Tools" > "Error Console" - clear all the errors and then open the embassy view, does it show any errors? If so, can you post the errors. |

I have disabled all my scripts but it haven't worked, I have discovered that the script runs only if your alliance show to you member islands in embassy, i haven't tested but it is probably right |

Yes, if your alliance has not given you premissions to see the co-ordinates of the members' islands then the script will have no data to work with. It will still show you the world map though. There is not an easy solution to this as there is not another easy way to collect the data on where your alliance is. I suggest that the easiest solution is to see if your alliance will let you see the other members' co-ordinates. I will think on alternative solutions but it's not likely to have a solution that is simple or effective for everyone. |

I have asked to my alliance to show members co-ordinates to new mwmbers |
I asked them for the same :) It is still strange that I can not even see my OWN islands on the map :(

Uninstalling the scripts won't make a difference if you have already disabled them. The position of your own islands is updated from the Alliance data. This is a bit of an oversight on my part. I'll change it as you're right that it doesn't make sense. Thanks for pointing it out. |

Thx pal! If my alliance leaders decide to turn on coordinate-propagation I will post you if that has resolved the issue or not. Good luck |

Latest update should show your own islands even if you cannot see the alliance ones. To get your name to show up on the list of players when you hover the mouse over an island, you will need to go to the island view of an island you are occupying (just so the script can find your player name) but after that it will remember it. |

I have the latest version and it still does not show my own islands besides the one i am on at the time. Weird |
Same here :( It still doesn't show my own cities. No message at the error-console when opening the World Map. |
Please can you let me know what domain (i.e. www.ikariam.org) and world (i.e. alpha) you are on and I will create an account of my own on that world and try to replicate the problems. Thanks. |
I also have the problem that I don't see my own Islands... I'm playing on s3.Ikariam.co.il (Gamma Israel) |
I uninstalled my copy of this script and re-installed the current version (1.1.8) from this board (You may need to clear the cache - click "Tools" > "Clear Private Data" - before installing but try it first without clearing it) I logged on as "A Test User" on s3.ikariam.co.il. Both the island and world views show my island as highlighted in dark red (and the current island highlighted in white in the island view).
Ok, I'll clear my cache and try it again... Edit: Yeah it works now... |
Tried unistall-cacheclear-reinstall but still no joy.
Thank you for your great work! |
Lol, on one computer it worked and on the other one it didn't... |
Have updated the script to v1.1.9. I tried Gamma on ikariam.hu and had a problem with the script when the island co-ordinates started with 0 (i.e. [0X:XX] or [XX:0X]). I've fixed it and it works for me on .hu. Let me know if it fixes it for you too, or if not, then I'll try finding any other bugs. |
Worked like a charm! :) Big ups man, keep up the great work!
I have also the problem of my own islands not displayed. I figured it is since update of 14 may, that i have problems. Before, so update may 12th, it worked fine. |
Which domain (i.e. ikariam.org)?
Have you installed the latest version of this script (1.1.9)?
ikariam.nl
Have created a new account on Alpha, ikariam.nl and my own islands are being displayed using the latest version of the script.
Can you try disabling all your other scripts and seeing if it works? If so, then re-enable the scripts one by one and see which one breaks this script and post back here. If I can (and the other script is legal) then I will try and work around it. |
Sorry, It's still doesn't show my own island... I deactivated all scripts expect this one, and still nothing, also reinstalled and still nothing... |
