Why "show search" in white?

Hello, wouldn't it be much better if the color of the "show search" and "hide search" link would be in black (or anything other but NOT white)? i mean the gmail standard theme has white background color and most people won't see the "hide search" link, if they cannot understand and change the code.... |

I have improved on this script and the text is now 'Toggle Search' and it blends with the rest of the links on left of it. Here's the script:
