Yay automeme! I took a minute and compiled this wonderful userscript into a Firefox extension, including a nice icon:

BTW, I'd also like to extend the script to apply to *all* textareas -- no reason autmeme fun can't be used in other spots too :D

Right on.

I made an edit to allow it to work on any textarea, with the button being in the upper right corner and displaying on mouseover, but positioning being consistent on every site is proving annoying.
Taking into account textarea margin, padding, borders, etc, even using textarea.offsetWidth isn't always providing expected results.

I gave up for the time being, but I may give it another shot soon. Brainstorming other placement areas too.
