I'm really excited - finally an updater script that works! But it seems to have problems with e.g. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/43392 - I could imagine a possible reason: Its name starts with "userstyles.org", which is linkified e.g. by "linkify ting" - could it be this linkification causes some trouble?

Here are another few the script claims to be "not on US.O":

This time it's unlikely that linkification is involved - so it must be something different...

I checked the three links that you provided. The ebay article description font size limiter works fine for me but the other two don't, as you noticed. The problem is that the name of the script and the name registered on userscripts.org are different.

Look at: http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/43392

See how the name at the top and the name in the code are different:

"Userstyles.org - Make Screenshots Clickable"

"Make Userstyles.org Screenshots Clickable"

That's the problem. Same is true for http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/20411 where the name in us.o and the name in the source code are different. (The latter has an extra space at the end!)

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/40810 works fine for me, however.

I don't know if that can be fixed properly. I could make the match a little fuzzy, ignoring a few differences, but too fuzzy and we risk updating to the wrong script entirely. Try begging the author to fix the name of his script. :-)

OK - I will check that again. It's not the major important scripts to me, so I can live with it if it stays this way.

But just another issue bothering me: While the updater works excellent on my work computer (FF3 on WinXP), on my home computer it pops up from time to time and finds all installed scripts to be "updated" (checking the scripts page, there was no update for months). If I approve the update, the code is just opened in a new browser tab together with an "install" button. I can click that button, but nothing happens. Clicking "Install" on a scripts homepage works fine, however (i.e. I can install scripts) - just the updater fails, and this only on one of my machines. Any idea what I could look for (e.g. about:config for certain settings I could compare on both of my machines)?
