Is it possible to have an option to put the events back at the top of the right column? For some reason they moved them down to after the "Highlights". Now I have to search to see if it is somebody's birthday.

Hi, The version that I'm working (which I will hopefully be releasing next weekend) has an option to move the highlights to the bottom of the right column. That gets birthdays/events on the first screen for me. Would that solve the problem for you?
