I've recently come across the fact you can link to a specific time in a video. Youtube automatically converts the posting of something like "00:22" into a link to 22 seconds into the video. However, you can do this same thing with a regular link by doing something like "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<video>#t=1min40sec", which when clicked on, should start playing the video from 1 minute and forty seconds in. However, it seems this script doesn't play too nice with this feature. Could you look into it?</video> |

The last version may work with this feature... Also, to use this feature, you can choose one of the following:

Okay, it seems to work sometimes. I first started testing it out and it wasn't working if the link is manually typed into the address bar or if it was clicked from an external site (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr5si7xCvEM#t=1m31s was what I was using to test), while the links in the commets would work fine. Though, for whatever reason as I continued testing it, it randomly started wanting to work more like it should with the script enabled. One thing I notice though, even though I have the option set to Pause and Buffer, it still automatically plays. Is it possible for the script to let it jump to the spot, then pause to let it buffer a bit before I manually hit play? EDIT: And just as I finish typing this and submitting it, I decided to click on the link provided to test it once more. With the script enabled and set to buffer, it opened the page and paused at the beginning of the video and began buffering, while it worked just a minute ago. *Scratches Head* Tried it once more, this time with the option set to Autoplay, and it begins at the beginning when clicking on that link. Disabling the script entire, the video opens, jumps to that spot and begins to play. |

Ok, try the last version... |

Appears to be working like a charm with both Autoplay and Buffer settings. Only minor issue is that with the Buffer setting, it begins buffering at the correct spot, but the slider stays at the beginning. Though, when you hit play, the slider jumps to the correct spot and plays as it should. Thus, it's only a "minor graphical bug" and nothing to really stress over fixing. I'd just like to say, that I've seen countless Youtube scripts on here, but yours is by far the best I've used. While some might present the option to download the video, or others might present an easy switch between qualities, yours features a good mix of features. Top notch. |
