Buggy!
So I followed the instructions but the test buttion never did anything. So I used my web developer toolbar took out the ID on the activate button to make it appear and clicked it. It seems to work now. Any idea what went wrong? |
hi, thx for report bug. I want to ask you some question:
could you please post here your user.js file? and the screen shot of firefox profile folder? thx |
No, i just know where my profile is... No need to look it up. I created the file named user.js it only has what you said changed for .org
I use .org obviously. Also I use Debian`s firefox re-branded Iceweasel. The loading does seem to work as ikariam is a little faster and a few pictures have gone away... The file list in my profile looks like:
Anything else? Edit: I found the edit buttion and fixed some things. |

I had to disable this to trade. There was no trade button. I only spent a few minutes looking into why it was not there and was not able to figure out what was wrong. So I hit deactivate and now everything works again. I really do like the idea of this script though. Edit: Also it does not stay deactivated. |
hi, missing some image while using script is an known bug of the gfx pack :)
Sure, I saw that warning. What about having the script go to the normal ikariam servers if the image is not around locally? And what about it not staying deactive? |
umh, I want to say sorry about my english (English is not my main language).
finally, every things are ok?
in the 1st case: congrat :)
1/ if you don't like the script any more, you can delete it by script manager of GreaseMonkey. (this is bad news to me)

The deactivate button worked for a little while but the next time I looked it was active again. Which is really fine with me seeing I was not trading anything and it IS faster. I have not gotten around to downloading more images. Hmm the deactivate button worked last time so I am no longer using it. Its a good idea though, just too much hassle to use. |

I followed the given instructions correctly.. Nothing happened when I clicked the "TEST" button; You say an "ACTIVATE" button would appear but it didn't it's just click-able that's all! It doesn't even load after you click the "TEST" button. Here are some links of the "Print Screens" I've taken. They are not arrange;
Side Note: I'm using Vista. Does that make a change? :D |
from the 1.jpg and 2.jpg: your path must be: "file:///d:/ikariam_gfx/"
Oh, LOL. How clumsy of me not noticing that. haha.. Thanks Fanha Giang. Activated it now. I've noticed a boost of Ikariam browsing speed. :D |
Сделал всё как написано но при нажатии кнопки ТЕСТ ничего нет.
Has Done all as it is written but when striking the button TEST nothing no.
need to add http://s6.ikariam.ru into the user.js file. I hope you know where to find it. |
I all have done on instructions and has prescribed but don't care result zero |
I also did the same as in instructions. Where should user.js file be? Only in Mozilla profile? Or do I have to copy to D:/ikariam_gfx/ ? Maybe test doesn't work because I wrote 7 servers? |

@misha6606, unixasas: hi, please post some image just like nigel122 |

Here. http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/2357/8528331...

Here is that we have:
All I had to do was to rename user.js to ikariam_gfx.user.js. Thanks :) |
@misha6606: from the 2nd picture (IkariamLocalGFX_1.jpg): you must rename it to "user.js" I update the other way to install the script. I think this way will reduce your confuse.

Using Firefox 3.5 and NoScript - install instructions didn't seem to work for me, the Test button failed (nothing happened). After some googling around, i found here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_to_local_pages_... this note about local file links and NoScript: "Note: If you are using the NoScript extension, the user_pref approach as described below does not work, NoScript overrules the checkloaduri configuration. Instead, it is possible to allow local links (file://) in your NoScript Options ("Advanced -> Trusted -> "Allow local links")." After changing NoScript setting, everything worked like a charm. Just wanted to let you know about this issue; maybe consider update the install instructions, because NoScript is a popular extension? Thank you :) |
