I saw the youtube tutorial and you said that links that don't have any icon next to it are considered dead but I tried the test page and all of the filefactory links don't have icons next to them and many of them still work and some don't. Also, some of the megauploads have red X's next to them but the links still work. For example these:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=99N1FRS1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VKCVS8D7
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KKJ8J15T
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R4I40OJR

So far all the rapidshare ones seem to be accurate. But I don't know about any of the other services. This script makes feel unsure about any of the links and I end up clicking on them anyways just to check. Anyone else experience this?

Hmm, now the links I posted all have green check marks next to them but in the test page they have red X's next to them. I reloaded the page twice and they still have the X's. So maybe there's something up with that test page. Maybe it is reliable after all.

gree circle with red x's = temporary unavailable

the filefactory links are not checked since filefactory change their html code, in the next update I'll fix this.

Thx for explaining what the green circle with red x's inside means. Those megaupload links still show up as just red x's on your test page. It seems to work pretty well otherwise. I guess I shouldn't complain since the name of the script is Rapidshare links checker and it works nicely for rapidshare links.
