Any pics of the before and after effects of this script?

Has a shot of the changes. The contents of the left column are inserted at the beginning of the right column, widths are adjusted.

just tried this-- the companion script works, but not this one. Any ideas why not? Im new to greasemonkey...

Still works perfectly here. The only page it is active on is http://www.facebook.com/home.php - it doesn't change profile pages, but is meant to minimally invasive (and thus unlikely to break).
Also give facebook time to load completely - the script only runs after the page is loaded completely, not during load.
If you have installed other Facebook Greasemonkey scripts, these might be interfering, too!

Hmm-- the problem is that the address of the homepage, strictly speaking, keeps changing. I included http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home to the list of included pages, and this helps-- except when you arrive at the link through a profile.

Hmm... guess it might be due to me not using Greasemonkey in Firefox, but in Epiphany - the script is active on home.php?ref=home for me, too.
If I get around to do so, I'll upload a modified version with a * added at the end of the include line.

Make sure to also include a * after the home.php

Also, I would recommend installing the Facebook URL cleaner. It allows your includes and excludes more accurate.
