This is my first use of Greasemonkey so am probably doing something wrong. However have tried some other scripts and they work. The instructions here arent quite clear for us non techs, I dont know javascript or anyscript so I have to assume how to configure this.
All of the default values seem to be set as true, so I assume that you simply replace the word true with the word false to change the behavior? For example autoplay=false, That is what I have done and it doesnt work.
I set autoplay to false (along with useHD and loop - have no idea what "loop" does, is this like an auto repeat?). But when I open a Youtube video (on the Youtube site itself) they still autoplay just like they always have before. Also I tried changing both of the color values and it makes no difference. I did leave jumpToPlayer as true but have no idea what this does either. The video display window does seem to be larger now so evidently the bigMode is working, but nothing else seems to be.

Hi ZZ... I apologize for the inconvenient options interface. I understand it's frustrating getting things to work in GM for the first time.

I will implement a more graphical settings configuration when I get time. As for combinations of options-- I realize I've been really lazy lately, and probably need to check out my logic. It'll take a bit of thinking and changing two lines of code, and I'll get around to it this weekend.

Hey Avindra, its not that the options are inconvenient - after all its just essentially editing a text file. What I was saying is that for those of us who are clueless about script code, we need to be very specifically told how to change things. I didnt see any options that were (in the default) set to false so had to assume how to do it. As you know, the machine itself is even dumber than we are, code has to be exactly right - no extra spaces, left out characters, etc. Otherwise it wont work.
Anyway, I have tried some other youtube scripts, and they mostly work, but I have noticed that disabling autoplay doesnt work consistently with any. I suspect this is something with youtube itself, some really smart coders here and not likely they are all wrong. On the other hand, your script here is very popular, since it works for most others I wonder if its my machine or maybe my account settings at youtube.
