This script works well sometimes, but it won't block some infinite loops, for example, the example at:
http://www.guyrutenberg.com/2007/11/23/a-javasc...
keeps alerting, this script won't stop it.

Thanks for reporting it. My initial guess is that this script is firing before GreaseMonkey starts loading user scripts. I'll dig into it some more when I have time.

This Firefox addon adds the ability to double-click the alert's icon, and leave the page. This prevents infinite alert loop.

Oooh, that's pretty cool. You should spin it off to a standalone extension though. I installed it then set all the other options to (what I'm pretty sure are) the defaults.
As a web developer, I don't like having extensions that "fix" the way my pages are displayed. High probability that my audience doesn't have the same extension.
