Google Errors

Could you update your script? I was considering writing a positive review for your script - but then I got this...
Google Error We're sorry... ... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google. I'm about 99%+ your script is to blame. I turned off your script - and the error went away. The errors can get worse in a hurry - an example is that I experimented with making my own google CSEs (customized search engines) - I created cses - bookmarked them and then opened a few dozen at a time in tabs. As I was experimenting I got similar errors. I ignored them - that was a mistake. Later ordinary googling using intitle: sent me to error pages. And quickly after that I ended up at new error pages that forced to enter a captcha to continue. That was very annoying, but it soon got worse. Google sort of "blacklisted" me - and I couldn't do any google searches for hours. I gave up on making cses.

Just another 2 cents: I installed the script and started receiving the same error - a google page saying "It looks as though your computer is sending automated requests" or words to that effect. I disabled it, reenabled, disabled greasemonkey, etc. Restarted and the problem seems to have gone away and the script is working. Thanks! |
