No Flashing from incoming chat message
Hello, Withing few days I've upgraded the script several times. I still have no any blinking from incoming chat. Tested with FF 3.0.6 on both WinXP SP3 & Ubuntu 8.10. |
btw, Greasemonkey 0.8.090123.1 |

Thanks for the details! Could you let me know what other Gmail Greasemonkey Scripts and Google Labs features you have active? |
One more thing: I just checked the script and believe that Chat Alerts may be off by default. Would you mind switching to your Gmail tab then going to Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands > Gmail FavIcon Alerts > Chat Alerts On. If that works for you, let me know! Thanks! |

Yep, I just needed to be enabled. Thanks. |

Hmm, the other thing - why it keeps blinking after I've read the message? I don't want to close chat window. |

In order to tell Gmail you've read a chat message (and make the title of the page stop alternating), you just need to give focus to the message, by clicking on the chat pane. The script hooks into what Gmail considers a "new" message (when it flashes the message in the title), so by clicking, it'll stop the title from changing as well as the icon from flashing. |

Thanks again, it helped. Also may be better to have more noticeable flashing, but I can correct icons myself. |

Cool, glad it works for you! |
