Requested Features

Hi, I love the script and have a few suggestions to make it even better: 1) Can you have the script check if the movie already exists in my movies and check the relevant box so that I don't keep adding the same movies to the must see list. Currently if i refresh a movie's page all boxes are cleared. 2) I use the dark imdb redesigned script (http://userstyles.org/styles/1854) and this uses the gray design, so it stands out quite a lot, even if i arrange the order of the scripts in greasemoney so that imdb dark blue redesign is last the results are the same. 3) Is there any way to get the genre in the my movies table? It's nice that there is a way of showing only certain genre's but would be cool to show all genres but a genre column. Thank you for your consideration. |

While writing a review I also thought of another feature that I'd love to see implemented: 4) The ability to click the text of a list (such as Must See) to do add the movie to that list. So instead of having to click the "Must See" checkbox then click update, I could instead just click "Must See" to instantly add the movie to that list in one click. This can be in addition to the system you have now, that way people can add to multiple lists at once, but the one click bookmark functionality would make this even cooler. |

I will consider your requests when updating the script.

1) Every time I reopen a movie page, the "Must see" box clears, so I check it and reload the page again and it's cleared, meanwhile there are 2+ of that movie being displayed in the Must see section of my movies. 2 That doesn't fix it for me still:
3) Yes I mean the table in the my movies section. I wasn't aware you weren't doing anything to that page, but it'd be amazing if you could. |

Let me know if your problems are fixed with the new version. I also implemented your 4 option |

Hi. I'm using this script to use imdb as my personal movie database. I think it is great. Anyway, to help to improve it, I think it would be great to have an icon next to all movies that you already have in your "My Movie". Let's say you like "Babel", then you click "Brad Pitt" and it would be useful to have an icon next to the movies in this list that are already in our list. Is this possible? Thansk |

When-- "Because this is the first time this script is run we need to update the movie list." --appears do I just wait or is there an action I need to take? Btw, I have only 26 movies currently categorized.

You'll get a different message when the movies have been edited. In your case '26 movies have been added to the list'.

Great script, thanks. My request: to have ratings next to TV show episode lists. E.g. If I've rated some Simpsons episodes, I'd like to see the ratings in the episode list:

@milivella I will look into this. A fix will be included in the next version.

I'm sorry for the delay! :) @Chicago_gangster: thanks for the tips. What's the difference in scope between IMDb Movie Link Enhancer and IMDb Movie Collection Manager? @Futuros: thanks for having replied, and for having included the feature in the 2.1.0 version! |

I think you'll have to read the descriptions and use both (but not at the same time) to feel the difference. IMDb Movie Link Enhancer does its job better in that it's customisable via a user-friendly menu. It highlights title links and adds your vote next to them with colours you pick from a spectrum (example screenshot). Movie Collection Manager implements MyMovies integration into title pages. This is a very useful function, but I don't use this script (although I recommend it to other users) for 2 reasons. First, it pushes the title page down (because of the vote and MyMovies lists displayed at the top). Second, I use the Movie Link Enhancer for displaying votes so I can't use this one (which is why I suggest to make this function optional in this script; it's implemented better in another script). |

I've just updated the script for the first time since about may and have some issues.
Picking a movie I know is in my must see list, going there to it's imdb page the category is marked with a cross, even though it is definitely in that category. So I click the link and it ticks it, but now in the must see category it is there twice... Also this means I need to go through my entire must see category and tick them all again?? Please fix this so it reads from the category properly. If you do these two things this script will be absolutely amazing! Until then I jsut cannot use it. |

This is strange... Do you have any error messages when you turn on the debugging?
Either visit the my movies section or via the greasemonkey context menu? BTW: the highlights etc. will be optional in a next version. |

Thanks for optional highlights coming in the next version, can't wait. Also yes I have tried rebuilding the cache a few times, no change. I just tried debug mode (1), but I don't see anything in the error console that isn't there without greasemonkey running. And with debug mode (2) I get:

visit about:config type: ftrs You'll see the stored values for the script.
If not please continue in 'script not working any more' topic. It seems he has a related problem |
