@all, As you may have found out, Travian version 3.5 is going to be released this year. Tomorrow, the 4th of February, 2009, at 06:00 o'clock (CET) the www.travian.org will be restarted (registrations started yesterday) and it will be a T3.5 game server. Taking into account the differences between the start page of the old T2.x/T3.0/T3.1 game servers and the new start page of the www.travian.org server, this TB3 script IS NOT COMPATIBLE with the new game version 3.5 !!! If you intend to use this script with the new version of the game server, please DO NOT POST ISSUES/REQUESTS to the discussion threads on this page ! Please use the mail address provided on this page, instead ! Thank you ! P.S. I will try to fix the reported issues for Travian version 2.x/3.0/3.1 game servers up to the date these versions will not be used anymore. P.P.S. I cannot guarantee that there will be a free version of the script for T3.5 or future versions of the script ! The happenings of the last days/weeks made me completely SICK of providing/fighting for a free but still protected by the CC license script ! And yes, there have been users of this script that made me think about the future... by their behavior/mails send to the address specified on the page of the script ! Well, I thought this script (including my time for developing/fixing features/issues and your work in providing issue reports/comments/requests/images/etc.) would provide a better gaming experience to all of you... It seems not all of you appreciate this kind of work... |

Well, the script doesnt even work on 3.5 version, so i think there wont be any bug reporst as the scripts doesnt show anything :D But otherwise it is almost same "shit", no big diffrances :) BmW |

I have no idea whats gone on or to what you are referring in terms of a lack of appreciation but I can take a wild guess as to how it went. However I just want to point out that there are countless people such as myself for whom this game would be unplayable without this script. I would pay a small fee for it. For the amount I already dump on gold, dropping a small amount more on this excellent script which is what even makes the game playable is just fine with me. That having been said, free is also a good thing. I hope you choose to continue! |

To be honest, I expected much more from Travian version 3.5. The changes to the game experience are a bad joke. Having 2 additional buildings and changing the behavior of a third one, making the map more comfortable are the only things I've seen being changed by now. And having some new images... well, don't know if this can be considered an improvement. I know, they announced a lot more features to come during the game, I read about all of them, but let's be serious... quite LAME ! It looks more like wanting to disable the scripts used for Travian. They did something tricky but nothing special. There are many changes to do to existing scripts, but all are very simple to implement. It would require about 1-2 months (as not all the new features are available and not all the errors corrected yet) to rewrite a completely clean script. Anyway, in my opinion, they have to do a lot more with this game, rethink the entire game strategy, add game features, and a lot of comfort/calculation features, etc. I know Travian is more than a simple game, it's something like a social network, but let's face it, nowadays this is not really a feature anymore. There are social network sites on the internet almost as many as sand corns on a beach. And hoping people will continue using a pencil and paper for the most simple operations they want to perform in-game is really STUPID. In 2-3 years the "cash cow" could be DEAD ! My opinion to the new version (on a scala from 1 to 10 where 10 is the maximum): - game interface = 4 (it's clean/simple/but lacks a lot of comfort features) - new items/features = 1 - long-term interest in playing the game = 4 - interest in playing the game to the end = 2 (after starting WW building, only people part of the WW builder/attacker teams are really interested to continue the game, all the others are simple farms for the WW and they're required to stand up during the night to send crop for the troops in the WW village -> STUPID AT ALL) - technical aspects = 4 (a lot of improvements but still a very messy page structure - probably to keep most of the scripts away) - social networking capabilities = 3* - game experience overall = 3.5 * My comments to social networking - very simple forum capabilities (expectations are higher) - because of some security issues in the past, people lost interest/trust in internal forums and IGMs even if the security issues have been fixed a long time ago - entire IGM module needs rethinking - people expect quite a normal/modern messaging system here; current implementation is archaic; no option to send an IGM to more players; no option to reply to more players; address book is a very bad joke (better not use it at all); no option to save a dump of your messages/addresses to a local file; IGMs deleted not after a specified period of time but arbitrarily - probably threshold on the server IGM database; etc. - no option to directly save a battle report to a "travilog"-kind site (even if a "travilog" site is advertised on the links page) and then send a mail to different players with the link to the saved report Well, this is just my opinion... EDIT: I've checked a lot of sites today that are mentioned on the Travian link pages or that I could find on the Internet... Well, very disappointing ! It seems that the "cash cow" will be DEAD in less than 2 years ! A lot of broken links... Who creates a special ASCII image for the Profile at this time ? Perhaps, kiddies that discover the game only now. All the other serious players do not give a damn on the Profile (valid also for alliance Profile). News about the game ? Some interviews with supporters or MHs, of really no interest to most of the players (really not interested in who's-who and who fuc.s who from the supporters and MHs). And a lot of veeeeeeery old news (1-2 years old)... Current NEWS ? YES, the announcements to Travian version 3.5 in the forums... sooooooooooooooooo lame and sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. Even if they say they have some millions of players... how many are really playing the game ? How many are paying for GOLD and/or PLUS ? All I can say... LAME ! Cash-cow may be already DEAD ! EDIT2: The new script, for T3.5 is working on more pages than I've expected ! Still no BETA, as I have to test more and the account is developing soooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly. |

maybe you should make a TB standard (FREE) and a TB Plus edition that cost so much TB gold per week to use. because of you i think travian makes a whole lot more money... and you should get some of that gold. I know i would pay for it. and please ignore those who dont appreciate your work

ms99 is working his butt off for this script, and at least everyone should give a simple "thanks" for making Travian a better experience. Now, I don't see anything great, as you ms99 mentioned, being implemented in Travian 3.5, but it certainly didn't get any worse. I say don't rewrite a completely new script for Travian 3.5. Why work on a script for a game you don't like? We should be grateful for all the work he has already done. Free yourself. |

Well...OK.... Thought I would not reveal the "little surprise" and let you all discover it when the right time will come. But now there are a lot of you who are aware of it. Thank you to all those who took the time to write to the address specified on this page :) And of course Thank You for not revealing anything by now. Well...for all those who still search for the "little surprise"... The little surprise is the compatibility of this script with version 3.5 of Travian :) (perhaps the only Travian script compatible with the new version of the game) It's not fully developed and tested, but we have now a Release Candidate 1 with the amazing contribution of a lot of players. I want to thank all those who provided issue reports/images via mail and refrained from posting comments on this page about the "little surprise". And YES, it's still free for all of you ! To all those who still believe in a better Travian ! :) We're all here to make Travian a better experience, aren't we ? Thanks again for all your support ! YOU ALL ARE AMAZING ! |

The thing I miss most about beyond is the troop efficiency, that you didn't have to count much resources you should have raided, and thus if the village is empty, and how empty it will be tomorrow. |

I have been using it since the download - brilliant work. Lots to see and do. Just one thing - is there a help file, for all the new icons? or am I being a idiot, and missed it? Just to add - getting used to all the new features, slowly. It's bloody fantastic! |

US Server 5 changed to 3.5 a couple days ago and so I had to unintall Beyond. OH MY GOSH... do I miss it! Doing everything by hand again is like the stone ages. Thank you soooo much for your work on this script... it has been great. I dont want to pressure you for the new version... just know that that I would and I think others would pay $4.99 each for it. Then you would get some greenbacks for your work on top of all the compliments! -----Shanicus |

I have a lot of reports that the script works only now and then on the newly upgraded .us servers. I also have a report that the script works perfectly on one of the .us servers (no idea which one). I had the chance to test an account on the speed.travian.us server today (courtesy of a user of this script). For me it worked perfectly (except for the center numbers that are not centered on the buildings, but working). The script is already T3.5 compatible and it is still for free for all of you. There may be issues with the new T3.5 version and this script, but I'm here to fix them if you report such issues. For me it is quite hard to spot out all the issues as I do not actively play the game. Gave up some time ago (in fact when I started maintaining this wonderful script of Victor Garcia aka Croc, last year). Thank you. Edit: You may consider installing the new version of the script. It should work :) |

If you have read the "About" tab of this page you already know that this script will never provide automatic or scheduled actions. A queue is something like automatic/scheduled list of actions. I still think everyone should play the game and not let two computers play alone or against each other. Thank you for your understanding. |
