Hi,

the script works fine except for sites having favicons with size > 16x16; in this case only the upper left portion of the favicon is shown.
For example you may try:

http://punto-informatico.it/fader/pixml.xml

May you kindly verify and fix this issue?

Yes, image is cropped but icon size>16x16 is really strange. Are all italians sites like this ?? ;-)
background-size is a css3 property not still implemented in FF :(
So no idea to implement this;
