This script is a great idea. However, it should make an exception for URLs that are shortened already, such as those for tinyurl.com. If I paste in one of those and then hit 'space', it would be silly to apply another layer of redirection to it, even if it would shorted in a little more. Or perhaps you could make this a configurable option in the script with constant at the top.
