new feature: send message.... what?

so, it appears there is a new feature. you can select a series of drop-down-menu responses to anyone not in your mob for 4 energy points. WHAT? who would do this, that doesn't know you can message the person using their user id? the only time i would even consider it is if the person has a private account. of all the new features to add to MW, why this? and you can't even type anything personal! |

He's not in my mob, I don't think I attacked him (maybe if he was on the hitlist, but still). He's like 250 levels under me. I don't get what the point of spending 4 energy to tell me that is supposed to be. |

just today someone 100 levels below me attacked me once, then left this message:
guess it's a new way for them to possibly save their butt? didn't work. =) |

From the "Send Message" page in MW: Sending a message costs 10% of your total energy to send (capped at 10). This is to prevent abuse, as well as let other players know your message is serious. |
