Hi Peter,
I've been using this script without problems for quite some time, and it's great, thanks!

When I activated Offline Gmail recently, this script stopped working, and the icon is always blue whether there is new mail or not. If I disable offline sync, the script functions again.

Addendum: the icon was blue when I turned on sync. When I turned it off and back on, the icon stays red now.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll be taking a look at this as soon as I can. Honestly, I hadn't thought about the impact, but there must be something funky going on.

After a bit of research, I found that Gmail in offline mode uses different Markup than when it is online. I tried to see if there was some obvious reason for this, but I can't seem to. Currently, the script cannot see how many new messages there are (if any), and is defaulting to new mail.

I'm hoping to find a common relationship between the changes they've made, which should allow me to find the values in both versions. New script version will be up after I get it figured out.
