Because you have the option checked to "Hide all FB/MW ads and bars" ?

If you want to bring back just your facebook status bar follow these instructions.

Search for this line:
var p = document.getElementById('presence');
then on the next line make it look like this:
// if (p) p.parentNode.removeChild(p);

That comments out the action to hide the chat panel at the bottom of the browser.
