i have copied and rewritten your script to fit my needs and this is the result: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/41018.

I implemented the iCalFold option (and did some other text-work make import better) so you could copy that from me.

I'll take a look and see how I can incorporate your suggestions without relying on jQuery (I use lots of scripts and don't want to load jQuery for every page I visit and every script I use).
Thank you for taking the trouble to enhance the code; I'm pretty sure it can be further improved, it arouse just as an exercise to test the e4x features.
