Loving this script but for one thing that seems to be caused by this script.
When I am typing a message (as a message or wall post or comment) if I get larger than 5 or so lines there is a distinct delay from me typing to it appearing in the text box, this is only an issue if I am running facebook fixer.
I don't know what option I could disable to fix this or if it is isolated to me or not.
Anyone have any ideas?

I have this same problem. It's mostly bearable on my PC, but exceptionally bad on my laptop. I have no idea why one would be worse than the other, but it is. It's to the point now where if I think I'm going to type a long message to someone I'll disable GreaseMonkey first.

Hi,

I've checked it out and got the same problem. Disabling features won't solve it so its probably related to the code I had to add to made the script compatible with the "new" Facebook.

I'm working on a solution/work around for the next version of this script which will hopefully be released within the next week.

Hi guys, the latest version of the script fixes this problem.

On initial inspection the new version seems to have fixed the issue.
I will report if it comes back or whatever :)

Edit 12/02: Just to note, I use Firefox on Linux, I never actually had this problem when I was in windows, but I rarely use Windows so I never really typed out long messages in facebook.

I've installed the latest script and I'm still getting very slow text after typing a few lines

Hi Tygger, When are you getting the problem? Writing on somebody's wall? Commenting on a photo? Composing a message?

I believe that I saw this occur yesterday while writing a 'note'. I was using Firefox 3 on a Vista box...

Great script, btw.

Hi, I'm getting the same problem after the most recent update... I'm noticing it only when I'm inputting text into the "what are you thinking?" box on the home page..

I was getting it again as well after the March 13th update. I just installed the March 19th update so hopefully that fixes it.

As a side note: a lot of good changes in this new update. Thanks Vaughan!

OK I'm noticing the problem in the home page's "What's on your mind" box and in the "Write Something" box on profiles. Nufros, the box you're talking about is on the top of the home page right?

Hopefully I'll have a fix for this in the next version. In the mean time let me know if it's happening any where else too.

It appears to happen sporadically everywhere, minor annoyance. I'll be sure and make note exactly where it happens next time.

Yeah, that's the one... I mean it's not a deal-breaker for me, cuz this script is sweet, but I can't type too quickly (especially if I'm running a video or something with flash in another tab) or it will lock my computer up (and no I'm not running on a slow compy if you're wondering)
I notice this occurs more often in Ubuntu than Windows XP (but it does still happen in Windows now and then)

OK, The latest release fixes this problem for the two places I mentioned in my last post - they were both changed in the "upgrade" to the new layout so I had to modify to code to match the changes.

This problem should no longer be seen anywhere with the latest version of the script, but let me know if it pops up again.
