I noticed today that some links of MegaUpload where marked as dead, and I checked them out myself, they were alive.

moreover, I don't see any markups with easyshare, it doesn't recognize it at all

Ronen, everything looks to be working OK from where I'm at (US). Please let me know where you are checking links from and if the problem is still there for you.

Thanks,
Yah.

Ronen,

Good news. Thanks for the response.

I have seen this before - usually it seems to occur at the same time that MU is having issues with uploads (that is, the uploads are all going up slowly or throwing errors).
..
I have always concluded that when this happens, MU servers are responding incorrectly.
..
To be more specific, I believe that this happens when some of MU's servers are rebooting or unavailable for some reason. The files on those servers would report as temporarily unavailable and therefore would be highlighted red by this script.
..
I noticed some time back that the Rapidshare Link Checker will visually display results differently if the MU file is temporarily unavailable. From memory I think it shows a green X instead of a red one. Perhaps a visual cue like this could be an option for CLC? Maybe if a file is reporting temporarily unavailable the highlight colour could be blue instead of red.
...
Just a thought. :) Cheers,

CP

i am currently using safari 4 and when i installed this script all it did was make the links clickable but it didn't put any tick or cross icon next to the links.

dilpreet,

I've never seen the script used under Safari and have no way to test it. You're going to have to switch to firefox if you want all the functionality.
