Ok. I love the scripts. I now have a life again as the game plays for me when I am not here.

Here are some problems that are bugging me, and I am not sure if there are any solutions to them or not:

1) Is there any way to get the script working in Opera? It (Opera) is blazing fast compared to Firefox for playing this game. I have tried to install a program that runs Greasemonkey scripts in opera, but it has not worked.

2) How do I stop/block FB from trying to connect to all the different adds and whatnot that they attach to their apps. It really slows everything down. Specifically, the ones that seem to slow everything down are "rya.rockyou.com", "creative.ak.facebook.com", "b.static.ak.fbcdn.com (there are many variations of the fbcdn.com site)", and i360.photobucket.com. Here are some of the steps that I have already employed:
a) I have scripts running (that I got from this website) which by their description should be blocking all adds from running.
b) Since these are not, I turn these scripts off and go to the following path "C:...windows/system/system32/drivers/etc/hosts" and I block all the localhost apps that I have seen running on Mobwars, including the ones I mention above. When in Opera, this makes the gameplay LIGHTNING fast as it blocks all unnecessary adds, making it almost completely text based. In Firefox, it still tries to connect to them, even though they should be blocked. Am I missing something? In Firefox, running the script, it takes me 7-10 seconds to refresh the hitlist page, target a mobster, and attempt the hit. When I do it manually in Opera, it is literally 2-3 seconds, tops. HOW DO I EFFECTIVELY BLOCK ALL FB ADDS?

any and all help/advice would be great here.

Blessings,

Matt

I too use Opera for manual bounty hunting and will agree that when properly tuned it is very fast. I tried briefly to get the script to run in Opera but gave up when it didn't immediately work as honestly Firefox works perfectly fine with the script.

For me, I would say it maybe takes 3 seconds from the time I see the hitlist page start loading ("Waiting for apps.facebook.com" in status bar) until the page is fully rendered ("Done" appears in status).

If there is an eligible bounty on the histlist, there is no delay in the attack (i.e. the status doesn't reach "Done"). As soon as it is detected (during load) the attack is sent off behind the scenes and the reload begins. So it may take another 3 seconds for the result page from the attack to render, but this isn't adding to additional time to make the hit.

That said, I am running Adblock Plus (Firefox Add-on).

I'm running firefox and adblock plus too, and, as with crypto, it only takes me about 3 secs to reload a page in firefox, so I'd hazard a guess that you may want to look at other factors than facebook's ads. maybe undo some of the changes you made and don't run the other scripts that aren't working.
Try adblock plus, and maybe browse through the "about:config" page (just type that into the address bar), but be careful and don't change things you don't know about. Finally, one of the options on this script is to "hide all fb/MW ads and bars" I don't know exactly what method it uses to block the ads, but it's possible that it might conflict with your other additional ad blocking scripts/configuration settings you have. If they're not working, I'd suggest getting rid of them.

yeah, the adblock works pretty good. Things are moving much faster now. Thanks for the responses.

Now all we need are some Opera script gurus to make our journey to the dark side complete.

Google Chrome is getting greasemonkey support. But the current beta version doesn't support the GM_ api's so this script won't work on it for now.

You should use the latest version of adblock plus 1.0+. It has domain level blocking so you can block url's from loading on apps.facebook.com and still allow them on www.facebook.com. This is my list that has blocked everything except apps.facebook.com and http://i306.photobucket.com/. Using firebug I can analyze load times which has dropped considerably.

|http://creative.ak.facebook.com/*$domain=apps.facebook.com|apps.new.facebook.com
|http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/*$domain=apps.facebook.com|apps.new.facebook.com
profile.ak.facebook.com$domain=apps.facebook.com|apps.new.facebook.com
*.ak.fbcdn.net$domain=apps.facebook.com|apps.new.facebook.com

If afterwords the page looks funny either use stylish or adblock plus text ads hider.
