A few times, I've sent hitlist people to the hospital, but I guess they're not killed yet. Is that safe haven for them? Do I have to wait till they heal a bit then try attacking them to collect?

That is just an info message. when on the hitlist there is no safty in the hospital. you are hit untill dead.

Hmm... Ok, I'm just gonna assume it's a small glitch resulting from snipes. I should watch to see if I collect the bounty or not. From a few observations, it doesn't seem like I collect the bounty. :(

What is the "glitch"? Sending someone to the hospital is normal. It means you successfully landed an attack. There just hasn't been enough damage yet to kill the person. Attacking someone on the hitlist is just the same as attacking them from the fight screen. Each attack depletes health and it isn't until health reaches zero that the person will be declared dead.

A player is sent to the hospital when health falls under 20%. So say the player has 100 total health, he's hit listed, and when he's at 25 health, I deal him 10 points damage, leaving him with 15 left. He should be in the hospital. But you can't attack someone in the hospital, right? Or does that change when you're hit listed and there's no safety in the hospital?

Correct, as Gibbus mentioned. When a user is on the hitlist they can still be attacked even when "in the hospital." This is a function of the game and doesn't have anything to do with snipes.

I set to aggressive refresh then walked away to make some dinner. After dinner, came back and it was hung on a captcha. Cleared the captcha and found the above info. I was hit-listed, but never died. My experience points were up, health was down (I was in the hospital), but nowhere near 0, lost a few bucks, but seems like I didn't die. How did that happen?

possibly the repotrts weren't recived due to the capcha, and the person that listed you was a cash-cow (low level) and you only lost 10-60 exp insted of the normal amoutnt for your level

i had the same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago. i was doing the aggres. refresh going for bounties and i killed someone, who then turned around and added me to the hitlist(but i didn't know this yet) less than a minute after i killed them. i was attacked by several people and then the captcha was triggered. i typed in the 3 letters and turned the agg. refresh off and checked my news page. it said i had been added to the hitlist and had been attacked, but never died. my experience points didn't drop either, i only lost $500,000. judging by the damage points i had received i wouldn't have been in the hospital yet but was below the 60% of health so the medic would have been trying to heal me. this is what may have triggered the captcha.

Yeah I think we stumbled onto a 'safe haven' thing with the captchas. Interesting! Captchas should now be called Churches. :)

you have to be super lucky to trigger the captcha at the exact micro second that you are on the hitlist and sent to the hospital. i've only had it happen the one time to me and i've been hitlisted 34 times, 35 counting the 1 time i didn't die. a workmate who plays also said he added someone to the hitlist and no-one made the final killer blow and therefore no money was paid out. it was listed in his news page as successfully adding "XXXX" to the hitlist for $X. but no-one claimed the bounty.

You can trigger it and it doesnt have to be that exact second, just once you are hitlisted. Leave 1 ability point on your stats page and when a hitlist is placed on you spam an increase in stamina. It automatically triggers a captcha after about 30 clicks. One could easily automate this.
