I've seen forums where you put your info up so people can invite you, and you can invite other people. Anybody ever contact a hottie (based on profile pic) in your mob for a hookup? I don't even know who's in my mob, people been adding me. I'm wondering cuz I got an 'intersting' message through MW messaging wall...

it's probably spam. I got a message from someone saying how they got rid of all their debt at some site, then logged off.

Or, maybe someone thinks you are hot! And it's probably not someone you want to know.

or its one of your friends playing a prank on you :D

I'm still sticking with spam. It's rampant on Myspace and Craigslist, it's bound to start becoming more prevalent on facebook and any other social hostspot. It (probably) won't hurt to respond, and they'll inevitably say something like "if you want to talk more or see me on my webcam, sign in on see-me-scam-you.com. my name is 'gold digger 4 life'." if they send you to a site or ask for cash, then block them.

Speaking of non-friend invites..... I have a question and don't know where to go with it so I thought of this wonderful group of expert tech folks who've always been so generous, helpful and patient with me.

Is this just a fancy spam thingy? I can't figure out why they would charge money....could it be that good? I'm pretty desperate to add members, and am tired of doing it 1 at a time, so I'm finding my self actually thinking about subscribing! Stop me please!

Sweetness, in another thread someone mentioned using turbomob with some success. I have not personally tried but would probably avoid it myself. Have you tried some of the mass invite email lists:

Basically the same thing. It's a thread which includes at the end a very long list of emails. Each separated by commas so you can copy and paste the whole thing into a friend invite. Add your name to the bottom and repost. Like a chain letter.

Best way to do this invite thing is to join this facebook group: 501 Mob Size in 24 Hours - Mirror Group #2

You get admin access which you can use to group email everyone. You will fill up in 2 days.

my stats say 737 members, but limited to 602... wonder if I should bother stocking up on mobsters now or wait?

That's all preference, do you want to do the work now or later? I'd suggest do it now, in case the creator wants to limit how many mobsters you can have "on standby" like he did for a while.
