Version 2008.12.30: getting ratings from the "by ratings" page makes the script run much faster (except for TV episodes, which behave just like the previous version). |

Any chance of making the "get ratings" feature load automatically with a page? That would be ace. |

Unfocused, I agree that it would be interesting, but this script might need to make a request for almost each rating it displays (that's the case for TV episodes, movies still in production and others). From that you can understand that it can easily fetch hundreds of pages automatically... this can "eat" your bandwidth, and also generate a great load on IMDB's servers. That's why the process requires the user to explicitly ask for the information... only when the user really wants it he/she will click the link and get it. ;-) |

Oh ok, thanks a bunch for the reply. Love the script! By the way, it would be useful to have an option to de-sort after you "sort by ratings." But, no biggie. |

I also noticed that IMDB will detect and block you for a while if you hit their servers too hard - this happened to me once while using this script a couple of months ago. I've released a new script that solves this problem, check it out: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/44115 |
