I apologize for not being able to take the time to correct this earlier. However, this error has been corrected in version 0.2.3 of the script.

Another site that doesn't work: http://www.progarchives.com/media.asp?id=1554

Edit: nm; doesn't work because original video was removed.

I would like to thank you for mentioning this. It is true that this script will not add links below videos that are no longer available on YouTube. However, I plan on updating this script so that it will handle this case more appropriately.

This script has been updated to handle this case more appropriately in version 0.2.4. I apologize for the length of time that it took for this to get done.

I'm using NoScript (v1.9) and found another site where the script wont recognize the embedded video. Normally I also use AdblockPlus (v0.7.5.5) but I disabled it for the testing. The site is:

http://perpetuum-immobile.blogspot.com/2008/11/...

After adding same alert statements, I figured out that the script's XPath search does return no objects. After allowing the embedded flash to load (NoScript feature, just click it), the link was found though.

On some other pages (e.g. http://blog.zeit.de/zuender-blog/2008/09/08/zeh... ) I get a JS error in the FF console, stating "Error: thisLocation.parentNode.parentNode is null". It finds the video and extracts the correct link, but can't add it to the page. Again, I've got no idea where the problem is.

All sites are german, but that shouldn't matter for the script, should it?

Hello, and thank you for your feedback.

I have found that the script will successfully add links below the videos on both of the pages that you mentioned, as long as the page content is not modified. I have viewed those two pages with the latest version of NoScript installed, and found that it is only when some of the page content is blocked by NoScript that these links will not be added. NoScript may remove and modify code that this script attempts to locate, and page content being in German should not affect whether the script will add links or not. I may look into this further in order to make it work more reliably when NoScript modifies page content. Once again, thank you for your feedback.
