After resolving my toothache, my brain slowly materialized and began to think... lol.

I cannot believe (myself) the insane amount of bugs that still existed by 1.26, I'm sorry for all the problems anybody ever had with any refreshing, resting, job-not-moving, hit-not-going, looping or ain't shopping or whatnots. They're actually all inter-related and there were a couple of times when I got close to spotting them but somehow, the tooth just dragged me back and shrouded the bugs from my vision. BIG THANKS to all who sent the snapshots as they pinpointed where the problems were, they worked like guide dogs for the blind (me). I really hope this version will end all your pains, and get ready for a merry CHRISTMAST FOLKS!!!

(well, so much for the high spirit, still be forewarned, this version has not be thoroughly tested, as it "feels" logically correct, but it was just hot off the pot and I needed to get sleep so... you guys have to test it again for me, thanks and cheers buds!)

OK I found a bug...

:(

If you set auto-buy *on*, AND buy undeveloped land *off*, AND you have enough cash to buy the best ROR establishment, AND you do not have sufficient undeveloped land to build that specific establishment, AND you decided to manually go into the city... then the page will loop and keep trying to buy that establishment and of course FB/MW wouldn't let you. Before next version, please manually get out of the city, AND either:

1) Set auto_buy to *OFF*, go back to the city, buy the required undeveloped land first, then turn auto_buy back *ON*, OR...
2) Set buy undeveloped land *ON* and have no worries.

I know.. I know.. with option 2, you might end up with lots of land... do 1) then... for me, 2) is okay, though. :)

Next version I'll stop the loop and tell it not to try to buy if it can't. So you'll still need to manually buy the land first for the auto_buy to go on.... UNLESS.. as some have requested, to enforce a maximum qty for undeveloped land, such as 10. ;>

Word... me too... so far so good...

would it also help to have the prog auto buy undeveloped land only if it's not there for the building purchase? To the untrained eye (i.e. mine) checking for job prep items and doing what needs to be done seems similar to checking for an empty lot, and buying if necessary, before buying a villa.

someone had a nice mod several versions ago where the max undeveloped land it would buy was 10. Any chance of simply incorporating that instead of having to turn off autobuy just because I don't want 1000 empty lots (thus paying big $ for lots that end up getting incorporated and therefore losing money in the long run). Thanks!

I concur, I would leave the undeveloped land auto body on if we could limit it to ten units per type.

What's wrong with the following????

Fallimento:
Your mob fought with: 220 CheyTac .408s, 10 Double Barrel 45s, 220 Tactical Armors, 100 Turret-Armed Humvees, 107 S.W.A.T. Bearcats, 1 Armored Range Rover

Dirtypink's mob fought with: 107 CheyTac .408s, 1 Grenade Launcher, 107 Tactical Armors, 1 Body Armor, 107 Turret-Armed Humvees, 1 S.W.A.T. Bearcat

You lost the fight, taking 48 damage and dealing 41 damage to your enemy.

You sent Dirtypink to the hospital!

(By the way, incredible work you have done on these scripts!!!)

@jersey,

you've sort of hijacked the thread, but...

Since you don't know what his attack/defense is maybe there's nothing wrong. Maybe you're attacking someone who put all of their points into defense.

meyerje User

I don't understand why people don't let the script buy the undeveloped land. It's based on ROR right? So the way I see it is if the undeveloped land has a better ROR, why wouldn't you want to buy it? I could be missing something really easy, and/or stupid but you guys have gotta clue me in.

fart man User

jersey...like he said, the person put a lot of their stats into defense... thats all, plus what leverl are they and what level are you, they may have more of everything and just a smaller mob, just cuz you r bigger doesnt mean you'll win everytime

holymoly User

@meyerje

If you buy undeveloped property, the price goes up. The problem is that the ROR is based on the FIRST unit of undeveloped land. So, buying undeveloped land increases the cost (and thereby reduces the ROR) of everything you buy.

In my opinion, the cost difference is small, but it is real. I don't worry about it.

I'm having problems with this new version, 1.26 works fine but 1.27 isn't working right.
Here's the problem I'm getting:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Woopsy Daisy User

chupito 45 I think there is a problem with mobwars or Facebook. I have been getting this on and off for a while now and it also happens with internet explorer.

remarkable Scriptwright

There's a problem im having with the captcha. The script gets stuck displaying a picture of a captcha and then stops responding, even though there is no prompt to enter a captcha from mob wars. This has happened with versions 1.26 and 1.27, which i have had no other problems with.

edit: when i uninstall 1.27 and install version 1.15 i do get prompted to a captcha from mobwars. This has happened 2x now. I am starting to believe 1.27 is blocking the captcha from shwoing somehow, this is preventing me from playing and im hoping this wont result in bot detection. FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!

Nozama User

So first of all, FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY! is kind of demanding for a hobbyist doing this in his free time.

Second of all, this is an error that happens when the medic and captcha collide as discussed previously.

Quick fix with no reinstall... shut off greasemonkey and then go heal yourself, you'll get the regular captcha, answer it and turn the script back on.

Immediate fix not needed but something that should be fixed when PC gets to it.

If the CAPTCHA image shows and everything stops, it is *WORKING AS INTENDED*, well at least how's how I intend to design it. I don't want the script to loop and try to do things it cannot do.

Because you are unable to perform any action until you have answered the CAPTCHA. The reason that you are not seeing the prompt is because you have not attempted to do any "action". The medics in the background tried to perform some "action" and they saw the CAPTCHA, and that's why they reported you the CAPTCHA image so you know that CAPTCHA is imminent.

So if you're at the computer, just go ahead and do "something" like, but not limited to, deposit $1000 to the bank, hit someone on the hitlist, fight someone, buy/sell a property, invest skill points if you have them around, invite friends to your mob, etc. And no, navigating about the menus does not constitute as an "action".

If you're NOT at the computer, well, then the script won't be able to do anything anyway, so the best it can do is rest and wait for your return.

Nozama User

Sorry for any mistake about the reason for it. Tasks don't always pop the window they just change the captcha image sometimes while still leaving no way to respond.

I found shutting down the script for a second is foolproof.

Let me verify the task thing next time it happens just to be sure.

LegendaryPan... User

I love you. In a non-homosexual way, but still. This fixed the bug I had. Thank you!

Nozama User

Yeah so it keeps trying to refresh back to home if you try to take action on any other screen. So it will provide the window from a task but still may be easier to cut the script, do the task and answer the captcha before restarting.

@meyerje
When you buy 1000+ empty lots, they get very expensive. Then, when you develop them by buying property to go on those lots, you've just developed very expensive lots. (And they're very expensive to replace.) However, if you only keep 10 of each, you're developing very cheap lots. Basically, every time you develop a lot that you are fully invested in, you lose LOTS of money (I posted the numbers in another thread).

Also, if you wish to get off of your large amounts of lots, do not simply let them go by developing them. You'll make much more money by selling them all off, getting maximum value for them, and then buying 10 at a time only when you need them.

If you have any questions, let me know.

sal5678 User

@meyerje
I forgot to address the other side of the coin regarding undeveloped lots. The money you make by being fully invested in them is peanuts compared to the millions wasted each time you develop on them.
