for the update :)
btw can you save the signiture in GM_setvalue, etc. so don't have to edit every time script updates?
thanks

Yeah sure I'll add a menu command. I'll also make it pop up the options if no sig code is set.
Edit: Ok did it.

I like this idea and I myself thought of making something like this.
The main disadvantaged of this script is that when I change my signature, it will only change on new posts.

One solution I've come up with was using a second service which can make a image out of styled text and you can use that image in your sig. When you change the text on that image, it changes everywhere when cache is updated.
The disadvantaged is the wideness of the image, what is the best width?

Anyways it's something to think about...

Another thing, I've made a script for quoting in the forums (Userscripts.org Comment Quote) and I would like to exclude the signatures made by your script. The problem is that there is no way to know if the text below a <hr/> is a signature or just normal text.
The solution I've come up with was surrounding the whole signature in a div with the an attribute "cite" and value like "signature" for example.

I hope you would like to implant this in your script.

@jerone: I didn't try the Comment Quote script because I needed 4 of your other scripts to use it but I did add the functionality you desired.
