I've written a small AutoIt script (below) that sits in your task tray to click "Save File" for you if you don't want to change Firefox settings to automatically download.
It will disrupt you a bit if you're working at your computer as the messages pops up. I put in the sleep(500) delays in the script below as my computer was running a little slow so they were there for foolproof purposes. You can probably get rid of them.

downloaded many files, but now I encountered a problem.
rar files ends with .001 .002 not .rar
any1 know how to add new extensions to options/application tab so I can set to autodownload?

newbie here. the box keeps popping up that asks what to do with the file. i don't understand how to make it download without having to click it manually

Files with .001 or .002 extensions are not rar files. You will need a program called HJSplit to join them. Thats probable why they won’t auto download.

thanx ive been looking for something like this for a long while, i used to have a crummy countdown program that i would activate in between downloads, this has saved ALOT of time and grief, keep up the good work

well for the .001, .002 etc extensions i just added them to my MIME preferences with a Firefox addon called: MIME Edit, and i haven't has a problem yet.

Hay was just wondering could you upgrade the script with server selection?
This wold be handy when there is a server is momentarily not available error, or when the server is overloaded and we cant download with full bandwith then we can try to change an other server.

@iampete: radio buttons just like the original page, there is a default server, that will be used if the user don`t choose. Radio buttons should be always visible so if you are at computer you could choose an other server and the next time when the script reloads the page the default is set to the choosed server.

hmm i just tryed to download a file manually and change servers. The file comes slow from any server :S
Any1 tryed this before maybe no point to change server when the file comes slow.

Hi, the script doesn't work for me. I have the auto download working with the automatic timer, but I can't bypass the download limit as I can with a Mega Upload script. And multiple downloads is a no-no on this, there's either something wrong with the browser settings, or I am ignorant and there should be another RapidShare script to work along side this. Can you please help me, I've been avoiding RS downloads like the plague.

Hello pete, nice to meet you, let me thank you first for this amazing script that has changed the way i download thing for RS, i just go play outside :`D , well im terrible trying to modify this script,i suck in java...XD, what i would like to ask you is, can you make for me a modified version of your script, just changing the wait time count down? i want it instead of 60 to 150, rapidshare has started applying more than 95 secs to my country...damm bastards ^^, so Could you please make that modified version,pleaseeeeeeee??? Also a 120 secs-one would be appreciated.
