haay nice script, well for now i have no problem :) thanks! :) |

I've written a small AutoIt script (below) that sits in your task tray to click "Save File" for you if you don't want to change Firefox settings to automatically download.

Chicago_gangster: I have updated the script with your error message. You'll have to check if it's working.. |

there is one rather complicated way to add other filetypes to firefox's dialog (so you can make them autodownload). But it is a disadvantage of firefox, unfortunately i cannot do anything about it. Look at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=529563 . The real answer is in the next to last post;-) Also note that this is written for Ubuntu, in Windows firefox has the preferences menu under Tools, not Edit |
wow nice job iampete, I would never imagine the answer in the ubuntu forum :) |

thanx ive been looking for something like this for a long while, i used to have a crummy countdown program that i would activate in between downloads, this has saved ALOT of time and grief, keep up the good work wil
well for the .001, .002 etc extensions i just added them to my MIME preferences with a Firefox addon called: MIME Edit, and i haven't has a problem yet. |

Hay was just wondering could you upgrade the script with server selection?
Karate: hmm, i think i could add server selection when the server is not available.. the script would just randomly select another server.. i have to try if it is even possible. But how do you imagine the server selection to get full bandwidth? Remember it still needs to be fully automatic, so that you can leave it through the night.. |
@iampete: radio buttons just like the original page, there is a default server, that will be used if the user don`t choose. Radio buttons should be always visible so if you are at computer you could choose an other server and the next time when the script reloads the page the default is set to the choosed server. |
hmm i just tryed to download a file manually and change servers. The file comes slow from any server :S
Karate: that's because I'm downloading too at the moment:-D i bet there is really a huge number of people downloading on a sunday evening;-) also.. it is likely that rapidshare has some mechanism to detect, which of their servers are least overloaded and always redirect you there. So the speed you are getting is always the max you can get at the moment. But that is just my assumption, god knows if they really do it, maybe it's against their marketing strategy;-) i will have a look at the radio buttons selection.. |

Okay :) if you dont know what to do next, what about an autowaiter script for www.megaupload.com ?:) |
you said: "Please tell me, if you like this script"
one note - I hope it help : if you can auto-close the tab after success, this would be great. Thanks again. |

Here is a useful add-on I found for copping and launching multiple links. |
Well although this script is amazing i found a program that totally osculates any script like this.
I noticed rapidshare.de wasn't included. Is there a reason for this or was it simply overlooked? |

Added following code for auto refresh in case if page load failure.

Hi, the script doesn't work for me. I have the auto download working with the automatic timer, but I can't bypass the download limit as I can with a Mega Upload script. And multiple downloads is a no-no on this, there's either something wrong with the browser settings, or I am ignorant and there should be another RapidShare script to work along side this. Can you please help me, I've been avoiding RS downloads like the plague. Thanks |

Hi. Unfortunately, you cannot skip the waiting time, because Rapidshare has better checking of this.. even if I did skip the time with javascript, they have another mechanism running on the server, which I cannot work around. This script is not intended to skip the waiting time, but to click for you, so you don't have to check the page every minute.. with this script you can let the downloads running through the night and enjoy all your files downloaded in the morning;-) |

Hello pete, nice to meet you, let me thank you first for this amazing script that has changed the way i download thing for RS, i just go play outside :`D , well im terrible trying to modify this script,i suck in java...XD, what i would like to ask you is, can you make for me a modified version of your script, just changing the wait time count down? i want it instead of 60 to 150, rapidshare has started applying more than 95 secs to my country...damm bastards ^^, so Could you please make that modified version, pleaseeeeeeee??? Also a 120 secs-one would be appreciated.
